Does it feel like summer is coming to a close quickly for you? It is for me, and I've noticed that I've taken so many precious photos this summer that I haven't shared. It's been busy as usual around these parts, with my parents visiting and us running around and enjoying some of the last days of summer. I've neglected the blog, so apologies all around...Between working more than I have in a long time and trying to have some family time, I just decided to attempt not as much time on the computer.
In any case, I'm gonna fill you in. I think the last time I talked about pictures was Josh's birthday and how we were going to eat cake. I can't believe that was a month ago. Well, here's the cake, and here's Josh, and here are the girls:
For Josh's birthday, we also went to the Oakland Zoo. Amazing zoo. Giraffes and elephants and lions and fruit bats. There was a lot to see. There was so much wonder in the girl's eyes:
Additionally, I got this beautiful cabinet that I ordered online. The sucky thing was that I had to put it together. I tried to put it together myself, but it was way complicated, so my handy husband did most of the work:
Also, it's more than just a cabinet:
IT HOLDS SHOES!
So, after I cleaned out the bottom of the closet with 24 pairs of shoes, I received the typical husband response:
"Does this mean that you are just going to buy more shoes to fill up the bottom of the closet again?"
Yeah, he knows me.
The girls like it, too. So much that they have rearranged my collection and everything is mismatched, but oh well.
My parents were just out visiting for a few days, and as I mentioned in my previous post, we went to the circus. This is the first time, and the last time, that I will pay $12 for cotton candy. Yes, you read that right. 12 bucks.
Other stuff...
When you let your children dress themselves they just might end up looking like this:
Nemo swimsuit, PJ shorts and kitty hat from last halloween, in case you are wondering what in the world she has put together here.
Also, I love them way more than any words because of photos like this:
"I'm a livin' in a box. I'm a livin' in a cardboard box." Don't you remember that song?

I love all the photos you posted! The circus looked like so much fun, but $12 for cotton candy...that better be the best cotton candy ever. I'm sad summer is nearing the end, but the fall is my absolute favorite, so definitely looking forward to that. I miss your blog posts, but totally understand the busy life part.
That cabinet is beautiful. Your girls look like really good friends. Nice that you have so many pictures of them together.

I can't believe that summer's over already either.
Great pictures! Your girls are just too adorable.
How was the circus?
Such adorable pics! Love the secret shoe cabinet, you are such a girl after my own heart.
